What It Checks

Four automatic network audits

Running quietly in your system tray, every 30 minutes — no admin rights, no pop-ups, no personal data leaving your device.

Wi-Fi Encryption

Confirms your Wi-Fi uses modern WPA3 / WPA2-AES encryption — and flags weak or open networks.

Router & Gateway

Fingerprints your router and warns if it ships with factory-default admin credentials or an exposed admin page.

Device Isolation

Maps devices on your network and flags when risky smart-home / IoT gear shares the line with your work machine.

DNS & VPN Integrity

Checks your DNS goes to trusted, encrypted resolvers and detects hijacking or a leaking VPN tunnel.

How It Works

Scan locally. Verify online.

1

Scan on your machine

The app audits your home network entirely on-device and computes your compliance score.

2

Issue a bound certificate

Each report is tied to the specific computer it ran on — so the machine name and ID are printed right on the certificate.

3

Employer verifies online

Your IT/HR team confirms the certificate's authenticity on the CyberLab verification portal — not from an editable PDF.

Privacy-first. The app never uploads your browsing history, files, or device inventory. Only the compliance result — your grade and the per-check verdicts — is sent while the machine is linked, so your certificate stays current. Unlink anytime to stop uploads.

FAQ

Common questions

Do I need a subscription to use the app?

No — the app is free to download, scan, and see your score. A subscription is only required to issue and share a verifiable compliance certificate your employer can confirm online.

How do certificates work, and what do they show?

When you generate a certificate, you get a secure verification link you can send to your employer. Instead of a static PDF they'd have to trust, the link opens a live page on CyberLab that always reflects your machine's current state — not a frozen snapshot. It shows the compliance grade and score, the per-check results (Wi-Fi encryption, router/gateway, device isolation, DNS & VPN), the machine name and ID the scan ran on, when the certificate was issued, and when the machine last reported as compliant. A verified certificate is marked AUTHENTIC, and the page can't be edited by the holder.

How many certificates can I generate?

As many as you need — there's no limit per machine. Because each certificate link stays live and always shows your machine's latest status, you don't need to re-issue one every time something changes; the same link keeps updating. Generate a fresh certificate whenever you want a new link to share (for example, for a different employer or a new attestation). Your subscription is priced per machine, not per certificate.

Why does my machine need to stay linked?

A certificate is only trustworthy because your machine keeps confirming it's still secure. The app reports in every few minutes (every 5 by default), so the verification page shows a live, confirmed status. If the machine stops reporting — the app is closed, offline, or unlinked — for more than 24 hours, the certificate turns stale and no longer reads as currently confirmed, and if your subscription lapses it stops verifying entirely. This is what prevents someone from passing once and then quietly turning their security off: an employer always sees the machine's current standing, not an old pass. Keep the app running and linked for your certificate to stay live.

What happens if I unlink the machine?

Unlinking a machine (from the app's Settings, or by revoking it on your account page) permanently removes that machine's certificate. The certificate is deleted, not just hidden — its verification link immediately becomes void and shows "Certificate not found" to anyone who opens it, including links you've already shared. Nothing is kept. If you link the machine again later, a brand-new certificate with a new link is created; the old link stays dead.

What data leaves my computer?

All scanning is local. When your machine is linked to a subscribed account, only the compliance result — your grade, the per-check pass/fail verdicts, and the machine name/ID — is uploaded so your certificate stays verifiable and current. No browsing history, files, or device inventory is ever sent. Unlink the machine in the app to stop all uploads.

How often does the app run, and can I change that?

The app runs quietly in the background and re-checks your security every 5 minutes by default, keeping your certificate's status current. A certificate shows as confirmed while the machine keeps reporting, turns stale if it hasn't reported for 24+ hours, and reflects your latest grade whenever your setup changes. In the app's Settings you can change the scan interval (every 5 / 15 / 30 minutes or hourly) and toggle "Launch at login" — both on by default. The app always runs in the background tray while open so the heartbeat keeps your status live.

Can I use it on more than one computer?

Yes. Pick how many machines you need (up to 10) at checkout and you're billed per machine; you can change the count anytime from Manage billing in your account. Each machine links separately, and every certificate is bound to the exact computer that was scanned. Need more than 10 or a custom team plan? Contact us.

What happens if I cancel?

The app keeps working for local scans. Your certificates stop verifying until you resubscribe — the verification page shows the account is no longer active — so an employer can always trust that a live certificate reflects an active, paid account.
