Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Home Office Compliance Guard application and the cyberlabcorp.com website and services (together, the "Services"), provided by CyberLab LLC ("CyberLab," "we," "us"). By creating an account, subscribing, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. The Service

Home Office Compliance Guard is software that audits a home network's security configuration locally on your device and, with an active subscription, issues a verifiable compliance certificate you can share. The app is free to download and run local scans; a subscription is required to issue and verify certificates online.

2. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity under it. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

3. Subscriptions, Billing & Seats

• Subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis for the plan and billing period you select (monthly, 3-month, or annual).
• Pricing is per machine (seat). You may subscribe for multiple machines by choosing a quantity at checkout, and you may change the quantity later through the billing portal. Charges scale with the number of seats.
• By subscribing you authorize recurring charges to your payment method until you cancel. Prices may change with notice; changes apply to subsequent billing periods.

4. Cancellation & Refunds

• You may cancel at any time from your account's billing portal. When you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of the current paid period; it will not renew after that.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods.
• When a subscription ends, your certificates stop verifying. If you do not resubscribe within the grace period, associated certificate, device, and status data are permanently deleted (see our Privacy Policy).

5. The Compliance Certificate — Important Disclaimer

A CyberLab compliance certificate reflects the result of automated checks of a home network's configuration at the times your device reports. It is a continuously-updated self-assessment tool. It is NOT:

• a professional security audit, penetration test, or certification;
• a guarantee that a device or network is secure or free of vulnerabilities;
• a warranty of compliance with any specific law, regulation, or framework;
• a comprehensive threat detector — the software acts strictly as an automated, point-in-time configuration scanner and may not capture every sophisticated network threat or vulnerability.

You are responsible for how you represent and use a certificate. You agree not to misrepresent a certificate's meaning to any employer or third party. CyberLab is not responsible for decisions you or others make based on a certificate.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: use the Services unlawfully; scan or attempt to assess networks you do not own or are not authorized to assess; reverse engineer, tamper with, or circumvent the Services' security, licensing, or update mechanisms; forge, alter, or misrepresent a certificate; resell or provide the Services to third parties except as permitted; or interfere with or overload the Services.

7. Software License & Updates

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the application on machines covered by your subscription. The application may check for and install signed updates automatically. All intellectual property in the Services, including but not limited to the CyberLab™ corporate name, the Home Office Compliance Guard™ product name, logos, and software code, remains the exclusive property of CyberLab LLC.

8. Third-Party Services

The Services rely on third parties including Stripe (payments) and Supabase (authentication, data, functions). Your use of those components may also be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY COMPLIANCE RESULT IS ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CYBERLAB AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold CyberLab harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your misrepresentation of a certificate.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms or to protect the Services. You may stop using the Services at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in North Carolina for any dispute not subject to arbitration or small-claims resolution.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a revised date, and your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
